Gateway Appoints New Chief Credit, Compliance Officer

""Gateway Mortgage Group"":www.gatewayloan.com/ has appointed a new chief credit and compliance officer. The privately held mortgage company recently named industry veteran Molly Reed Davis to the leadership position.

In her role for Gateway, Davis will be responsible for overseeing all compliance policies and procedures in addition to managing the company's credit relationships. With more than two decades of senior level management experience in the mortgage marketplace, Davis is well prepared for the position.

Before teaming up with Gateway, Davis served as the assistant vice president of third party origination credit administration for ""MetLife Home Loans"":www.metlifebank.com/mortgage/index.html, and Davis managed all aspects of counter-party risk for MetLife's 2,000-plus brokers and correspondents. Previously, Davis has also worked for ""CitiMortgage"":www.citimortgage.com/, ""Capstead Inc."":www.capstead.com/, and Countrywide Home Loans Inc.

Commenting on her hiring, Davis said, ""Gateway has shown great resilience through this housing downturn by adapting to market needs. I am happy to be a new part of this innovative team and am dedicated to using my knowledge to mitigate risk and manage compliance while continuing to foster growth.""

Gateway's president, Kevin Stitt, weighed in on the company's decision to appoint Davis, noting, ""Molly brings many years of invaluable experience to the company and is a great addition to our team to oversee compliance efforts. Regulatory compliance continues to be a top challenge for lenders and no growth plan is complete without significant care being taken in this area.""
