MISMO Appoints New Board Member

On Tuesday the nonprofit data subsidiary of the ""Mortgage Bankers Association"":http://www.mbaa.org/default.htm (MBA), ""MISMO"":http://www.mismo.org/, announced the appointment of senior executive Gabe Minton to a seat on its six-member board of directors.

Berman, CMB, ""MBA's"":http://www.mbaa.org/default.htm chairman, said in a statement. ""We are fortunate to have Gabe on board to help guide ""MISMO's"":http://www.mismo.org/ strategic vision and goals, to the benefit of the greater industry.""

Minton previously served as SVP of information services at ""ServiceLink"":http://www.servicelinkfnf.com/, supervising engineering, quality assurance, and business assessment services while managing products and services programs. He retains over 15 years of experience in information systems development, with senior executive roles in the past at ""Mortgage Cadence"":http://www.mortgagecadence.com/home.aspx, Ultraprise Corp., and ""Motivity Solutions, Inc."":http://www.motivitysolutions.com/

Minton also served as the industry technology VP at ""MBA"":http://www.mbaa.org/default.htm, where he facilitated the creation of technology criteria for the mortgage industry, according to the statement. He holds a bachelor's degree from Radford University and a master's degree from the University of Maryland.

The board to which Minton now ascends is comprised by three representatives from both the residential and commercial mortgage industries. As ""MISMO's"":http://www.mismo.org/ parent corporation, ""MBA"":http://www.mbaa.org/default.htm retains a permanent seat on the board.

A nonprofit subsidiary of the ""MBA"":http://www.mbaa.org/default.htm, ""MISMO"":http://www.mismo.org/ operates and manages data transfer procedures and supplies residential and commercial real estate companies with technical support. The ""MBA"":http://www.mbaa.org/default.htm is a national association that represents the real estate finance industry.
