The House of Representatives officially voted to reauthorize that National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) with a 237-189 vote on Tuesday. But for how long and at what price?

Hensarling, who currently chairs the Financial Services Committee, announced on Tuesday that he will not seek re-election in 2018. Hensarling has long advocated replacing Dodd-Frank and has often gone been at odds with CFPB Director Richard Cordray.

Republicans don’t want any new rulings coming from the Federal Reserve and may move to block any attempts from that agency.
