Laura Baucus is the head of Dykema’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Baucus represents financial institutions in litigation involving loan servicing, credit card and mortgage products, escrow and insurance proceeds and note and collateral enforcement. Her practice includes defending claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and Regulation X, the Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, among other federal and state statutes and regulations. She frequently presents on eNotes, as well as on state and federal statutes impacting mortgage servicing risks. Ms. Baucus also regularly represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex supply chain disputes and warranty and cost recovery litigation, with a particular focus on the automotive industry.
