Top Lenders, Servicers in the Industry

MReport released its second annual list of the Top 25 Companies in Mortgage and Servicing. The lenders/services honored were Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions, Colonial Savings, F.A., Flagstar Bank, Gateway First Bank, Homeowners Financial Group, Mid America Mortgage, Inc., and Mr. Cooper Group.

Mr. Cooper Group was founded in 1994, employs 9,000 people, and has offices in Irvine, California; Chandler, Arizona; and Lewisville, Texas. The company's headquarters are in Dallas. 

Of those employed by Mr. Cooper Group, 53% are women, and 50% are minorities. 

Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions was named one of the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Top Workplaces for 2019—the fifth-consecutive year it was honored by the publication. Angel Oak was named to the Association for Corporate Growth’s 2019 Fast 40, the recipient of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Pacesetter Award, and the Scotsman Guide’s Top Mortgage Lender.

Colonial Savings, F.A., employes 615 employees and 68.6% are females. The Better Business Bureau gave the company an A+ rating.

Flagstar Bank was named a Fannie Mae Star Servicer from 2016-2018, honored as one of Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to work for for the third consecutive year, the recipient of the Mortgage Bankers Association Diversity and Inclusion Residential Leadership Award for Organizational Diversity in 2017, and received the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion award from the Bank Insurance & Securities Association.

Mid America Mortgage, Inc., employs 1,940 and has offices in Addison, Texas; Lisle, Illinois; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Magnolia, Texas. Of its employees, 60% are minorities.
