Eye on the Industry: Updates on Churchill Mortgage, Ellie Mae, and More …

From awards and accolades to joint ventures and platform integration, catch the latest from the mortgage industry in this update.

Tennessee-based Churchill Mortgage, a provider of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA residential mortgages across 46 states, announced a joint venture with American Home Title to found Churchill Title Solutions, a title company intended to streamline the origination process and create a secure mortgage experience for borrowers, real estate agents, and lenders.

Available to all lenders in every U.S. state, Churchill Title Solutions will provide borrowers the option of pursuing a digital mortgage, streamlining (or entirely eliminating) some tedious processes associated with traditional title management, while expediting lenders’ time to close. In addition, the joint venture will close potential security gaps within the mortgage process and help lenders and real estate agents provide borrowers with peace of mind that their information is safe and secure.

OnSite is a property condition report coupled with local market conditions and patent-pending features, specifically designed to help institutions meet the federal requirements when an automated valuation model (AVM) is used for mortgage lending purposes.

“Organizations are always looking for ways to improve efficiencies during the valuations process, particularly during the home equity lending process,” said Jonathan Nutting, Senior Leader, Valuation Operations at CoreLogic. “As the first integration of its kind on Encompass, users will now be able to easily incorporate this solution into their existing workflows, saving them time and money in instances where an appraisal is not necessary.”
