Futura Title & Escrow Receives ALTA Best Practices Certification

Boise, Idaho-based Futura Title & Escrow Corp. and its subsidiaries, Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. and AmeriTitle, Inc., have successfully completed an industry-recognized compliance exam and received American Land Title Association (ALTA) Best Practices Certification, according to an announcement from Futura.

Futura and its subsidiaries successfully completed the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 exam, an industry-recognized standard instituted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). An SSAE 16 certification is an indication that a third-party CPA firm has attested to the soundness of Futura’s information technology and network security, operational procedures and risk assessment control activities, and objectives in protecting consumer data, according to the announcement.

The comprehensive SSAE 16 audit was performed by A-LIGN, an independent third party CPA firm. The Futura Title family of companies, as part of their effort to meet and exceed ALTA Title and Settlement Company Best Practices, determined that the SSAE 16 audit would provide a supplemental layer of protection for their lender clients and consumers.

The Futura companies were confirmed and certified as ALTA Best Practices compliant in addition to receiving SSAE 16 certification.
