John Abel has joined Ellie Mae as SVP and Chief Information Officer, where he will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s internal information technology and systems and will partner with business units to propose, plan, and implement enterprise IT systems to align Ellie Mae’s technology vision with business strategy in support of business operations. With over 20 years’ experience in technology expertise, Abel was SVP of IT at Hitachi Data Systems prior to joining Ellie Mae. Before Hitachi Data Systems, he held roles at Symantec, JDS Uniphase, KPMG Consulting, and British Nuclear Fuels plc. Abel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Staffordshire University in England.
