Allstate Appraisal to Host Vendor Management Compliance Webinars

The new year has brought with it an entirely new set of guidelines from regulators on third-party vendor management. For those lenders still scrambling to get their oversight right before disciplinary actions kick in, Allstate Appraisal announced upcoming webinars to delve into the topic of appraisal management companies (AMCs).

The two-part webinar series, titled “Demystifying Third-Party Oversight,” will feature the expertise of Scott Sparks, SVP and national chief appraiser at Allstate and a former chief appraiser from a top 15 lending institution.

The first part of the series, scheduled March 4 at 2 p.m. Central, will see Sparks discussing how to set clear compliance expectations and establish an internal review process. In the second part, he will cover the vetting process along with how to conduct onsite audits of AMCs and their report products.

“When I was approached to present on this topic, I was happy to do so,” Sparks said. “I wanted to be able to share with my peers my experience I’ve acquired through the years auditing and maintaining compliant relationships with AMCs.”
