On Wednesday, July 18th, the American Mortgage Diversity Council [1] (AMDC) presented the webinar titled 'The Dos and Don'ts of Diverse Hiring in the Workplace," with Randy S. Miller, President of Randall S. Miller & Associates, P.C. The webinar is part of a larger series which provides industry professionals and diversity practitioners with practical education to deepen their knowledge on issues related to diversity and inclusion.
The focus of this particular presentation centered around federal court employment discrimination lawsuits, which have reached an all-time high, the monetary and reputational expenses of which can cause irreparable harm to a company. Within this discussion, Miller touched on best practices for success in ensuring that your organizations hiring practices encourage diversity and protect the bottom line.
The American Mortgage Diversity Council provides a platform for collaboration of mortgage industry leaders for the advancement of diversity and inclusion dialogue. The organization fosters discussion and promotes action through active participation with mortgage lenders, servicers, and related service providers. AMDC regularly engages with various federal agencies with respect to policy and procedure impacting diversity and inclusion across the mortgage industry.
