ALFN Promotes from Within for New President and CEO

The American Legal and Financial Network [1] (ALFN), a national network of legal and residential mortgage banking professionals, announced on that its COO, Matt Bartel, has been promoted to be the president and CEO of the organization.

Bartel replaces Wesley T. Kozeny, who stepped down as president and CEO of ALFN in July and will remain on the board of directors as founder.

Bartel, who has been with ALFN since its inception in 2002, was appointed to his new position on July 24 during the members' meeting at ANSWERS, the company's annual leadership conference.

"Matt Bartel has been a tremendously effective Chief Operating Officer for the ALFN and the Association has benefitted greatly from his efforts," said Michael Catalfimo, Esq., ALFN's chairman of the board. "The Board of Directors is confident that Matt will be just as successful in his new role as President and Chief Executive Officer and we look forward to working with him in that capacity."

As president and CEO, Bartel will oversee the company's daily operations, represent ALFN to the industry at-large, and will carry out strategic plans the ALFN Board of Directors sets forth.
