ATTOM Data Solutions and UtilityScore Form Partnership

Comprehensive property data provider ATTOM Data Solutions [1], based in Irvine, California, and national utility data provider UtilityScore [2] have announced a data licensing agreement to make ATTOM Data Solutions the exclusive bulk data provider of UtilityScore data.

UtilityScore’s nationwide data includes annual and monthly electric bills, natural gas bills, water/sewer bills, and neighborhood-level utility costs, all of which is now available in the ATTOM data warehouse.

“We’re pleased to add the innovative UtilityScore data element to the expanding ATTOM Data Warehouse,” said Rob Barber, CEO at ATTOM Data Solutions. “Fused with our existing property data elements, utility costs will be immediately applicable for many bulk data customers, including lenders, online real estate portals, home builders, big box retailers, solar companies, cable companies, home appliance manufacturers, home security companies and government agencies.”

UtilityScore is a standard metric used to compare utility costs of homes, and is the first company to build complex proprietary models for every home in the U.S. More than 7,000 local utility rates and other property characteristics such as size, age, and regional climate data are used to calculate costs and savings estimates. Each home is assigned a score between 1 and 100 to determine how its utility costs compare with other homes in the same area, with one being the highest and 100 being the lowest.

“We have built the most comprehensive and accurate dataset of utility costs for homes throughout the U.S., and it’s going to change the way people buy, rent and renovate homes,” said Brian Gitt, founder and CEO of UtilityScore.
