Mercer Belanger Changes Name to Fitzwater Mercer

Mercer Belanger announced the firm's name change to Fitzwater Mercer and revealed a new brand identity to accompany the name change. The change better reflects today's equity partners, Jennifer R. Fitzwater, Esq. and Jay Mercer, Esq. With Fitzwater's controlling equity stake, the firm is a women-owned business and has been certified as such by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) since 2017.

The 2017 WBENC certification represents the first time since the firm's founding in 1928 that it has been women-owned. Fitzwater Mercer has served Indiana as a general practice law firm for over ninety years and offers practices that include financial services; real estate law; general and civil litigation; adoption; and estate and trust, as well as other practices.

"This firm has served the state of Indiana for nearly a century, and I'm proud that Jay and I have the opportunity to position Fitzwater Mercer for another century of localized, state-wide, boutique service focused on our clients and being their go-to resource for all things Indy legal," said Managing Partner Jennifer Fitzwater.

The firm's website is now FitzwaterMercer.com.
