Army Veteran Gets New Home Courtesy of GMAC

One Army veteran is enjoying a happy start to 2012, thanks to an important gift bestowed by ""GMAC Mortgage, LLC"":www.gmacmortgage.com/.


The company recently donated a newly renovated home to a First Sergeant who was wounded overseas while serving the country in 2005.


GMAC confirmed that the recipient of the property is 1st Sgt. Peter Lara, and the company explained that the home given to Lara underwent extensive rehabilitation prior to being donated.

Lara's future residence was updated with new flooring and appliances, and GMAC also put in a garden to enhance the property. To create the best possible real estate option for Lara, GMAC collaborated with the ""Military Warriors Support Foundation"":militarywarriors.org/ in its efforts; the organization, which is based in San Antonio, Texas, is a non-profit company that targets better employment, health care, education, and housing for United States veterans.

Joe Pensabene, GMAC's chief servicing officer, said of the project, ""GMAC Mortgage is proud to support the men and women who serve our country. With guidance from the Military Warriors Support Foundation, we're honored to provide lst Sgt. Lara with a home.""
