In Illinois, ""PrivateBancorp, Inc. (PVTB)"":www.theprivatebank.com/, has named a new president of personal client services. The financial institution recently appointed Brant Aherns to the leadership role, which marks the launch of a new line of business for PVTB.

The personal client services initiative will join the Illinois commercial banking, national commercial banking, and commercial real estate components as part of the bank's organizational foundation.
In his role as president of the unit, Aherns will be responsible for all private wealth services including trust, investment management, and private banking. Aherns will also continue to lead the community banking group for PVTB's retail, small business, and mortgage banking activities.
Aherns has been a part of PVTB since 2007 as a member of the team working to transform the company's private bank into a commercial, middle market-focused institution.
