Genworth USMI Introduces Simplified Certificate of Insurance

""Genworth U.S. Mortgage Insurance"":http://mortgageinsurance.genworth.com/ (USMI), a unit of Richmond-based Genworth Financial, announced a redesigned Commitment/Certificate of Insurance intended to make it easier for customers to understand information about their mortgage insurance.

According to a release from Genworth, the new document has improved readability and provides additional loan-level detail for customers. Some data fields have been renamed for clarity, while new fields (including debt-to-income ratio, loan purpose, and submission method) have been added. The simplified certificate also includes clear instructions for how to activate mortgage insurance coverage.

The process for submitting loans, ordering mortgage insurance, or activating mortgage insurance coverage remains the same, so customers will not have to learn new procedures.
