New EVPs, Chief Risk Officer for SunTrust Mortgage

""SunTrust Mortgage"":http://www.suntrustmortgage.com/ has appointed new leadership, with the announcement of two new executive vice presidents. Peter E. Mahoney will join SunTrust as the EVP of mortgage strategy, and Jack Wixted will become an EVP and the chief risk officer for the company.

In his new role for SunTrust, Mahoney will be responsible for strategy, planning, and operations associated with changes in compliance and business practices affecting the mortgage industry.

Wixted was previously the chief risk officer for ""PNC Mortgage"":www.pncmortgage.com/, and in teaming up with SunTrust, he'll become the company's senior risk executive for its mortgage division. In his position, Wixted will head up oversight for credit and operational risk units related to SunTrust's mortgage operations.
