Cleveland Fed to Host 10th Annual Policy Summit

The ""Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland"":http://www.clevelandfed.org/index.cfm?DCS.nav=Logo is preparing to kick off its 10th Annual Policy Summit on June 28, and this year's two-day event will focus on methods for strengthening and rebuilding communities.

In an official statement, the Cleveland Fed called the summit a chance to target ""effective strategies for economic development

in our communities, with a particular emphasis on measurement.""

Keynote addresses will be delivered by Sandra Pianalto, president of the Cleveland Fed, and New York Times-best-selling writer and journalist Alex Kotlowitz, author of _There_ _Are_ _No_ _Children_ _Here_. Pianalto will give the opening address for the event, while Kotlowitz will provide closing remarks for the summit on June 29.

The Cleveland Fed plans to use the event to evaluate topics such as the shifting landscape of economic development, education policy and student outcomes, accessible and affordable rental housing, REO-to-rental proposals, and new ways to build a better workforce.

Other notable speakers for the summit include Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson; Eric Gordon, CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District; and Roxanne Qualls, vice mayor of Cincinnati.
