Commenting on the growth in First United's servicing sector, James Hinton, president of the entity's mortgage division, said, ""Attainment of this significant milestone reflects First United's commitment to serve the residential mortgage needs of the communities we serve. Our success reflects the dedication of our mortgage professionals to deliver best in class residential products and service.""

First United has more than 31 bank locations throughout its region, and the company employs over 600 people in 20 communities.

The privately held financial institution serves over 75,000 clients and is headquartered in Durant, Oklahoma, home to the Choctaw Nation.

First United's owner and chairman of the board, John Massey, says of its goals, ""We know that our deposit customers want us to pay them more, our lending customers want to pay less. Our stockholders want a return, our employees want raises - our mission is to just do what is right.""

In a company statement, First United notes that it continues to pursue the philosophy of one of the bank's founders, Granny Massey, which promises consumers ""a hug when you walk through the door.""

We'll presume that a ""hug"" from the bank is now extended in theory, as opposed to literally, but either way, First United's thriving servicing division is well prepared to meet the needs of its client base.
