California’s Chateau d’Or Receives Price Reduction to $25M

Famed Los Angeles mansion, Chateau d'Or, is still on the market, but the property's sellers recently initiated a significant price reduction, dropping the listing from $40 million to just $25 million. The 26,000-square-foot home, located in the city's Bel Air neighborhood, boasts 15 bedrooms and 16.5 bathrooms, and may be ""better suited to Disneyland,"" ""according to Curbed"":http://curbed.com/archives/2012/10/08/hideous-chateau-dor-now-listed-for-bargain-price-of-25m.php.

The website went on to point out the property's numerous, over-the-top features which include fountains, grottos, a pool and spa, multiple veranda and pavilion areas, and a tennis court. Curbed added that the ultra-expensive abode on Revuelta Way may not be as tony as its price tag would suggest, noting that it has ""some of the cheapest-looking French-inspired interiors ever made.""
