As part of its mission to provide consumers with education and information on available mortgage relief resources, Homeowner Connect's free database is open to anyone visiting the site.

Additionally, Hope LoanPort encourages homeowners impacted by Sandy to reach out to their insurance company, servicer, and to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). For homeowners wishing to discuss options such as forbearance with their servicer, Homeowner Connect provides a localized map of free, nonprofit housing counselors available to help.

In a release, the organization said it and its network of partners ""wish[es] for safety and comfort to everyone as the affected areas recover from this storm.""
