Bob Hope’s Former Residence Rumored to be Hitting Market for $45M

Though the expansive estate is not yet officially on the market, ""Curbed.com is reporting"":http://curbed.com/archives/2012/11/19/bob-hopes-lautnerdesigned-mansion-may-soon-list-at-45m.php that the former residence of Bob Hope will soon list for an estimated $45 million. Located in Palm Springs, California, the 17,500-square-foot mansion has more than one claim to fame, having been designed by well-known architect John Lautner.

According to Curbed.com, the palatial property is said to be ""UFO-esque,"" featuring ""very tall glass walls."" However, the space-age aesthetics of the house aren't likely to be a turn off to potential buyers, given the estate's exceptional address; the unique home is situated at the ""crest"" of a gated neighborhood that's adjacent to the Coachella Valley, offering stunning views of the area.
