FHFA Names Deputy Director for Enterprise Regulation

Woman-WorkingThe Federal Housing Finance Agency [1] (FHFA) announced the appointment of a new deputy director of its Division of Enterprise Regulation, appointing Nina Nichols to the position.

Nichols started at FHFA in March 2012 as assistant deputy director for the Division of Enterprise Regulation, moving in January 2013 to the Division of Supervision Policy and Support, where she served as deputy director. She has also served as acting deputy director for the Enterprise Regulation division.

Prior to joining the agency, Nichols served as SVP at JPMorgan Chase. She also spent more than a decade in various positions at the Federal Reserve's Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation and served at the Treasury.

"Since her arrival, Nina has made important contributions to FHFA, and she will continue to provide outstanding service to the Agency in her new role," said FHFA Director Mel Watt. "Effective regulation and supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is a top priority for FHFA and the Agency will benefit from her leadership and experience."
