""Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell"":http://www.lockelord.com/ LLP overturned assumptions about the still-weak legal jobs market by adding a new face to its payrolls at the firm's San Francisco office. ""Regina McClendon"":http://www.lockelord.com/attorneys/detail.aspx?attorney=1219&service takes over as senior counsel at the firm's location on the West Coast.[IMAGE]
Commenting on the new addition, ""Matt Blackburn"":http://www.lockelord.com/mblackburn/, managing partner at the West Coast office for the mortgage litigation firm, said in a statement that ""Regina brings a great mix of litigation experience and talent to our San Francisco office. She will increase our breadth and depth in serving mortgage banking companies and banks and financial institutions, and we're happy to welcome her as part of our team.""[COLUMN_BREAK]
As senior counsel, McClendon will head up the practice's area of responsibility for class-action lawsuits, business and commercial litigation, and financial institution litigation.
She will go to bat for mortgage bankers, auto finance companies, and an array of other financial institutions fraught with the likes of statutory violations, unfair practices, and fraud.
She arrives at the firm with several years of credible experience, ascending to her new top spot as a member of the editorial board of advisors for the _Consumer Financial Services Law Report_, a current legal news publication for the financial services industry.
The new senior counsel also holds a law degree from the ""University of California"":http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/ and a B.A. from the ""University of Texas"":http://www.utexas.edu/.
""This is an opportunity for me to hit the ground running and continue my litigation focus with mortgage, auto finance and banking clients,"" McClendon said. ""I look forward to being part of Locke Lord's growth in California and throughout the country.""
According to its Web site, Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell is a national law firm staffed by over 600 attorneys that focus on real estate and financial services litigation, among a number of other legal matters.
