Dart Appraisal, an independently-owned, nationwide appraisal management company (AMC), recently promoted Tracey Volltrauer from Vendor Manager to Director of Compliance. She is also now a member of the Dart Executive Team.

The announcement was made by Dart Appraisal EVP Michael Dresden.

According to Dart Appraisal, this is a new position focusing on compliance efforts for both state and federal regulations, as well as on fulfilling the AMC’s own compliance strategy. Volltrauer joined Dart as the Vendor Coordinator in 2010 and became the company’s first Vendor Manager in 2012.

“The creation of a new Director of Compliance position within the Dart Appraisal executive team comes as a result of increasingly tight mortgage industry regulation and escalating compliance concerns within the mortgage industry,” Dresden said. “In this role, Tracey will ensure that all regulatory and consumer protection dictates with respect to home appraisal are completely fulfilled for our lending clients.”

In addition, the company also promoted four other team members and added a new vendor manager.

Tom Moser has been promoted to Director of Quality Control from Quality Control Manager. Moser will be responsible for directing all of the company’s quality initiatives, systems and programs and personnel. In this position, he will work to enhance the QC reporting for clients and appraisers. Moser has been with Dart since 2011.

Rachel Lasater has been promoted to Operations Manager from Client Service Manager. Lasater will be responsible for vendor management, appraiser engagement, appraisal status and overall production management. She has been with Dart since 2003.

Megan Schaefer has been promoted to Service Level Manager from Appraiser Liaison. In this role, Schaefer will be responsible for overseeing the appraiser engagement and appraisal status teams.

Dave Mapley, a certified residential appraiser, has been promoted to Appraisal Review Team Leader, where he will ensure that the company’s commitment to quality control is fulfilled.

Derek Jerome has been hired as Vendor Manager. He is a licensed realtor and previously served as a technical recruiter for Kforce Inc. As Vendor Manager, he will work with the company’s nationwide appraiser panel to further identify and segment appraisers based on competence and performance, while also focusing on the development of appraisers through strategic counseling and coaching.
