Alliance Wants Easy Field Service Compliance

As of May 1, code enforcement officials and field service providers for the mortgage servicing industry will have a new tool at their disposal to facilitate and streamline communication. The launch of technology initiative, ALLIANCE, is the culmination of a collaboration between the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) and Lender Processing Services (LPS), and the online tool will utilize the NAMFS website as its point of access.

The technology is free to local code enforcement officials and will allow them to register and input property-specific information like code-related issues, potential fines, and supporting commentary. Those who are already participating members of NAMFS will also receive the tool for free, and those servicers can use the web-based program to review violations, contact the appropriate code enforcement officer, and correct any misinformation as to who is servicing the property.

Of ALLIANCE, LPS's vice president of Industry Relations, Rob Hicks, said, ""This unified industry effort not only demonstrates the level of collaboration and cooperation at LPS' code enforcement summits, but also provides local officials with a powerful and efficient management tracking tool.""
