loanDepot Appoints New President, COO

loanDepot, LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held independent retail mortgage lenders, announced David Norris has joined the company as president and COO.

Formerly chief marketing officer for Nationstar Mortgage and president of its Greenlight Financial Services brand, Norris has more than 25 years of consumer mortgage and technology industry experience. During his tenure at Greenlight, he was credited with increasing the firm’s production volume by 91 percent even as the market contracted by 65 percent.

In his new position, he is tasked with leading and strengthening loanDepot’s daily operations across all channels in addition to assuming executive oversight for the company’s ongoing relationships with affinity partners.

“I'm thrilled to join loanDepot, especially now as change within the industry continues to transform the way people buy homes and how lenders help them achieve their dreams of home ownership,” Norris said.

Anthony Hsieh, CEO and chairman of loanDepot’s board, said Norris’ addition validates the company’s progress “in building the brand into one of the premier consumer mortgage lenders in the country.”

“Dave's impressive track record in the financial services sector as an operator, acquirer and integrator is a perfect complement to our executive team and their focus on accelerating market share expansion,” Hsieh added.
