Fannie Mae’s software upgrade is part of an effort it’s been rolling out since the beginning of the year. The GSE introduced Collateral Underwriter to the market in January and has nearly 800 lenders registered as users already, according to the Monday announcement. For some, the new system makes immediate and obvious sense.

The “Appraisal Findings Report,” which is available through Message Manager, will be updated in April to include the CU feedback. The report, which is available to Fannie Mae sellers and services, covers appraisals submitted to the UCPD in the prior month and is generally available on the fifth business day of each month. The new report will replace three separate reports Fannie Mae currently provides by combining that information into one file.

In Ohio, Accurate Group announced its support for the imminent release of Fannie Mae's Collateral Underwriter (CU) in the form of enhanced appraisal processes, updates to the company's Valuation Compliance Report (VCR), and training and certification of its appraisal review team.
