NAR, along with the Independent Community Bankers of America and Community Home Lenders of America, have issued a joint proposal to the FHFA, the White House, the Treasury Department, and the Federal Reserve Board, designed to help ease mortgage affordability. Here’s what they propose.

The FHFA released new Uniform Appraisal District Data for the first quarter, adding new data points such as lot-size categories, property condition, the presence of an accessory dwelling unit, and local racial demographics.

HR 3564 creates additional protections that prevent the imposition of new fee changes based on the DTI of borrowers and institutes a temporary, one-year freeze in the FHFA’s ability to enact new LLPA fee changes.
