Only one day after chairman Marcus Agius announced his resignation, Barclays announced that director and CEO Bob Diamond and COO Jerry del Missier are both stepping down. The resignations were announced Tuesday morning and are effective immediately. Agius will lead the search for a new CEO and will be supported by deputy chairman Michael Rake. Barclays has not yet commented on a successor for del Missier. The wave of resignations is brought on by a scandal last week, when it was revealed that Barclays had manipulated the London Interbank Offering Rate.

CoesterVMS is welcoming a new senior vice president of operations. The company recently appointed industry veteran Robert T. Chasteen to the leadership position.

The Mortgage Bankers Association announced Monday that president and CEO David H. Stevens will continue with the organization instead of joining SunTrust Mortgage as originally planned. SunTrust had announced that Stevens would join the company as president, a move that would leave the trade group to pursue a new president and CEO. "The past few weeks have been extremely difficult for me personally and professionally. After serious thought and consideration, I simply cannot leave the MBA at such a critical time for the industry and the association," Stevens said in a statement.

Barclays released a statement Monday morning announcing that chairman Marcus Agius is stepping down in the wake of a scandal that rocked the bank. This follows news from last week that Barclays had manipulated interbank lending rates starting as early as 2007. Barclays was fined ├âÔÇÜ├é┬ú290 million (approximately $450 million) by British and U.S. authorities for manipulating the London Interbank Offered Rate. The Barclays board will commence the search for a successor immediately. Agius will remain in post until a successor is found.

California-based CoreLogic will move forward with nominating three new board members to bolster its company directorship. The appointment of new board candidates follows CoreLogic's spring announcement that it would seek new members, and the company has selected Douglas C. Dorman, and Jaynie Miller Studenmund to stand for election.

Another comedian is set to sell his California estate. Funnyman and host of The Late, Late Show on CBS, Craig Ferguson, has put his Los Angeles home on the market for $1.995 million.

A new director of sales has been appointed at New American Funding. The national mortgage lender and Fannie Mae seller and servicer has hired Darren Kidder to fill the role.
