NewStonegate Mortgage Corporation, a publicly-traded mortgage firm operating in Indiana, named Robert B. Eastep as its new CFO.

He started his new position May 9, taking over for former CFO John Macke, who will return to his former position as EVP of capital markets.

In a statement, Cutillo offered thanks to Macke for his efforts to lead the company’s transition from a private to a public company.

“We appreciate and thank him for his hard work and effort and look forward to him resuming his leadership role in capital markets,” Cutillo commented.

“I was glad to serve as CFO during Stonegate’s IPO [initial public offering] process and beyond but believe the opportunity to refocus on capital markets will greater serve the execution of Stonegate’s growth strategies,” Macke said. “I look forward to continuing to provide leadership on the executive team and working closely with Jim and Rob to ensure a smooth transition.”
