Stonegate Names VP of Internal Audit

Stonegate Mortgage Corporation [1] has a new VP of internal audit following the appointment of Jennifer Pressley to the role.

Taking over her new role, Pressley is tasked with formulating and executing Stonegate's internal audit plan and long-term financial compliance strategy, taking responsibility for risk management and control framework enhancements to all channels and departments.

"I am excited to join Stonegate and to contribute to their efforts as a leader in the mortgage industry," Pressley said. "Their innovative strategy and execution truly make them stand out in the industry; I am happy to be a member of the team."

Pressley brings to her new position more than two decades of experience in both external and internal auditing and in financial reporting.

Before coming to Stonegate, she served as VP and chief accounting officer for OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc., while also serving as treasurer of OneAmerica Fund, Inc., and OneAmerica Foundation. Her work in those roles had her overseeing financial reporting for OneAmerica's broker-dealer and proprietary mutual funds as well as all corporate accounting operations. She also managed investment accounting operations for more than $15 billion in invested assets.

At Stonegate, she will report directly to Rich Mirro, chairman of the audit committee, and administratively to Barb Cutillo, chief administrative officer.

"With a wealth of experience and leadership in large, national organizations, Jennifer possesses the ideal skills, relationships, and perspective to allow her to effectively support the Audit Committee," Cutillo said. "Through her strategic vision related to financial, operational and specifically Sarbanes-Oxley related compliance, as well as her oversight of standards and regulations, Jennifer will continue to further our efforts as a leader in the mortgage industry."
