Blueberry Systems Chairman Receives Legacy Award for Achievements

Bill Armstrong, founder and chairman of Colorado-based ""Blueberry Systems, LLC"":http://www.blueberrysystems.com/, was named by the ""Leadership Program of the Rockies"":http://www.leadershipprogram.org/ (LPR) as the recipient of its 2013 Legacy Award.

founding principles espoused the program,"" according to a release from Blueberry Systems.

Armstrong was recognized by LPR for his successes in both business in and politics, having served for six years in the U.S. House of Representatives and for 12 years in the Senate.

In the business world, Armstrong started or purchased four mortgage banking firms and was formerly chairman of Cherry Creek Mortgage Company, which grew 4,000 percent under his guidance. He also served in the past as director of six public companies, was chairman, owner, and operator of 13 private companies, and served on the board of Campus Crusade for Christ for 17 years.

In addition to his position as chairman for Blueberry Systems, Armstrong is the president of Colorado Christian University in Lakewood and director of oil and gas drilling contractor Helmerich & Payne.
