High-Profile Winter Retreat in Florida Lists for $22.9M

In sunny Naples, Florida, the winter retreat belonging to high-profile Boston, Massachusetts, resident Jack Connors has hit the market for $22.9 million. Connors, who the _Boston Globe_ calls ""a legendary Boston power broker,"" is believed to have purchased the home for an estimated $16 million in 2006, ""according to Curbed.com"":http://curbed.com/archives/2012/11/05/the-last-king-of-boston-lists-impeccable-florida-escape.php.

Sitting on 1.6-acres of waterfront property in the city's Port Royal area, Curbed.com also reported that Connors' mansion was given ""a substantial renovation in 2007."" The luxury home currently boasts five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, and the website added that though Connors' estate is a ""showplace,"" it has a ""beachy look that isn't for everyone.""
