Trulia Launches Beta for Personalized Home Search Engine

San Francisco-based ""Trulia"":http://www.trulia.com/ announced the beta launch of Trulia Suggests, a new, personalized, and visually engaging way for home buyers to discover homes.

According to a company release, Trulia Suggests features a proprietary algorithm that considers an individual user's behaviors in context of the preferences and behaviors of 31 million other unique users, resulting in personalized suggestions via a photo-centric user interface.

Trulia users logged in to their accounts can refine their suggestions in real time by ""following"" or ""liking"" homes that appeal to them or ""hiding"" homes that aren't a fit. In that way, Trulia Suggests can take into consideration users' explicit opinions about listings that go beyond basic criteria such as number of bedrooms or square footage.
